After Tesla CEO Elon Musk made good on his promise to ship ventilators to California to assist with the coronavirus pandemic, New York is now asking the tech titan to pitch in.

New York Assemblyman Sean Ryan wrote a letter to Musk on Tuesday, pleading with him to construct ventilators within the firm’s Buffalo, N.Y., manufacturing facility, in line with Buffalo Information, which first reported the story.

“New York State is probably the most impacted state within the nation,” Ryan wrote, in line with the information outlet. “It is smart that elevated ventilator manufacturing would occur right here to make sure we are able to meet the rising demand of our well being care system.”
