Barcelona’s attraction to have Ousmane Dembele’s two-game ban diminished to 1 has been rejected by the Royal Spanish Soccer Federation (RFEF).
Dembele was despatched off within the closing minutes of Barca’s 4-Zero LaLiga win over Sevilla this month following a confrontation with referee Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz, who had simply given debutant Ronald Araujo a crimson card for a foul on Javier Hernandez.
Barcelona’s preliminary attraction towards Dembele’s crimson card was dismissed and he was dominated out of the membership’s subsequent two league matches.
With the France ahead seemingly set to overlook the Clasico towards Actual Madrid, which had been scheduled for October 26, Barca then tried to have his ban halved.
Their efforts proved in useless however Dembele will now be accessible for the primary LaLiga Clasico of the season, with the fixture having been postponed resulting from security considerations amid the continuing political tensions and protests in Catalonia.
As a substitute, the previous Borussia Dortmund star will miss Saturday’s match towards Eibar and the assembly with Actual Valladolid per week on Tuesday.
The Camp Nou Clasico seems set to be performed on December 18 after each Barca and Madrid proposed the date on Friday.
Dembele has made three league appearances for Barca this season, scoring as soon as – towards Sevilla.
